Chaplaincy services and pastoral care at Nisbet Lodge and McClintock Manor

At Nisbet Lodge and McClintock Manor, we know that pastoral care can make a great contribution to a balanced and satisfying life. Providing that care is part of our commitment to those who live here.

Serving the needs of the whole person in a caring and dignified manner is a high priority for us. Our goal in chaplaincy services and pastoral care is to provide support and encouragement to residents, tenants, families and staff in their faith journey. In particular, we want to help meet the spiritual needs of our residents.

We offer in-house programs by both ordained and lay volunteers. Where possible, we help individuals to maintain a vital connection with their home congregation or faith community. Our chaplain is available to any resident or tenant, to their family members, and to our volunteers and employees.

Chaplaincy programs

• Daily devotions are offered.

• Morning and evening worship services are held each Sunday, next door at Calvary Church.

• We hold special services for Easter, Remembrance Day, and Christmas.

• Many residents look forward to the weekly hymn sings and Bible studies.

In addition to managing the listed services our chaplain will provide a private one-on-one communion service for a resident or tenant. He is also is available, on request, for confidential visits at Nisbet Lodge, McClintock Manor or local hospitals, and to conduct funerals and memorial services.

As well, various clergy regularly visit their parishioners, and are happy to connect with any interested residents.

Easy access to Calvary Church

Nisbet Lodge was founded by Calvary Church, which is next door. We have convenient, indoor access to the church for easy all-season participation in the life of the church. Calvary Church has weekly worship services, prayer services and Bible studies, and welcomes our residents and tenants to numerous social, fellowship and special events.
